Terms and Conditions

By enrolling yourself or your child/ren into one of our classes you agree to the following terms. We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time.

 

ENROLMENT

 

After school classes

Places in these classes are only confirmed upon full and upfront payment of the term fees. Towards the end of each term, you will receive notification via email to enrol for the following term. Your or your child’s place in the following term will only be confirmed upon full and upfront payment of the next term’s fees.

Class sizes are strictly limited and we are unable to reserve places.

Any student who is not enrolled online including full payment will be unable to attend the class.

Preschool Sensory sessions

Single, 5 or 10 packs of classes may be purchased. Classes must be enrolled in and paid for prior to attending. Classes purchased may be used within a 12 month period. Upon enrolment you must advise which class you will be attending. You may change this at any time subject to class availability. You do not have to advise each week that you are coming.

A purchased pack of 5 or 10 may be shared between two children.

You may also bring a pre-schooler friend along which will be counted as one of your pre purchased classes.

 

Special workshops/Holiday programs

Enrolment and full payment is required to secure a place in these workshops. Fees will vary and are non-refundable, except in the instance that MAKE is required to cancel due to unforseen circumstances.

MAKE reserves the right to terminate an enrolment if there is an ongoing issue that has not been solved through communication.

 

FEES

Current fees are outlined on our website. These term fees are based on the number of weeks in a school term. Mid term enrolments are available and are calculated at the number of weeks remaining in the school term. Payment for class fees is to be made online only via our website (via PayPal or Bank Deposit), which ensures that you or your child’s place is immediately confirmed upon payment.
*If paying via Bank Transfer we require an email receipt sent to hello@makeartschool.com.au.

Fees for birthday parties will vary depending on the number of attendees.

Workshop fees will also vary depending on the type of workshop and the duration. We accept payment via PayPal OR via Bank Transfer.

 

CANCELLATION BY MAKE ART SCHOOL

We reserve the right to cancel a class/event/workshop due to unforseen circumstances. If applicable a full refund will be offered to paid students.

 

REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS

Please consider your class booking carefully before you enrol, as we do not offer refunds. Transfers are available in some classes provided there is availability.

In the event you cannot attend a workshop you may send someone else in your place. Notification must be received prior to the class.

Arty Party bookings are secured via a non-refundable deposit. Please ensure you have checked availability prior to making your purchase.

 

CLASSES

We encourage all students to bring their water bottles for use during class. Please ensure that they are named. Due to allergies we ask that students refrain from eating during class times.

 

After school classes

Students should arrive for their class within and no earlier than 10 minutes of the scheduled start time and wait in our waiting area. We use the time prior to class starting for setting up and students must remain outside of the classroom at these times. This is not a supervised area, the responsibility of your child remains with you until the class has started.

Pick up is required within 5 minutes of the class finish time. Children who are not picked up will be asked to remain in the waiting area for their guardian. If you are arranging for someone other than yourself to pick up your child please notify MAKE Art School at the beginning of the class. Please reiterate to your child that they must remain within the building until their guardian has picked them up.

MAKE is small space. Too many people make it difficult to freely move and create. Therefore, afterschool classes are strictly drop-off. If for any reason you need to stay nearby you are most welcome to do so in our waiting area.

 

Preschool sensory sessions

Pre-schoolers are required to have a carer/guardian present during these classes. These sessions are structured so that you may create and make together. Some activities will require direct adult supervision from the carer/guardian. Keeping safety in mind we ask that each carer have no more than two children in their care during a session.

 

MISSED CLASSES

If you/your child are unable to attend a class please notify us via text or email as soon as possible.

Subject to class availability, we will offer a make-up class if you inform us in advance that you or your child will be unable to attend certain dates, you or your child is unwell, or an unforeseen event occurs.

 

 BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Arty birthday parties are offered for between a minimum of 10 and maximum of 15 children. We must be advised ahead of booking if any of the attendees are under the age of 5.

Parties with less than 10 paid participants will be charged for the minimum number of 10.

A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is required to secure your preferred date. This fee goes towards your total payment.

Upon arrival all students are required to have their guardian fill in an emergency contact form that also includes a request for permission to take photographs of their child/artwork.

Birthday parties are offered as one hour of art making and half an hour of party food/cake. All food/drinks supplied at a MAKE birthday party are the sole responsibility of the guardian/carer who has made the booking. This person also takes sole responsibility for being aware of food allergies or intolerances of all party guests and any resulting health or medical issues that arise from food or drink supplied remains with them.

A parent/guardian host is required to stay for the entire duration of the party and they assume all responsibility for the party guests.

 

SUPPLIES

All supplies are included in the tuition fee.

 

DRESS CODE

Art smocks are supplied, however we do recommend that all students ‘dress for mess’. We cannot be held responsible for any clothing that gets damaged during art classes. Your child will feel more relaxed to explore and create if they are not concerned with worry over messy clothes.

 

 PHOTOGRAPHY

We take photographs/film of students participating in class or any artwork they create in class, and publish them on our website and social media pages (Instagram/Facebook), or for other advertising. You may advise us via your enrolment form if you do not wish to have your/your child’s images to be used. You may request at any time to have an image removed.

 

PERSONAL PROPERTY

We cannot be held responsible for any personal property you or your child brings onto the premises, and we cannot be liable for any loss or damage to such property. For this reason, we recommend that students do not bring any valuables/precious items to class.

 

ARTWORK

We will endeavour to have all artwork returned to students as soon as possible and encourage students to take their work home. Due to storage restrictions we cannot keep any unclaimed artwork after the end of term.

 

MEDICAL/REQUIREMENTS

The enrolment form has a medical clause that you are required to complete. Please advise us of any requirement that you/your child has in regards to allergies/medications. In case of emergency, please ensure that the phone number you provide is available for contact for the duration of the class.

If your child has any other requirements that may assist us in teaching them please feel free to advise us prior to the start of class.

 

GIFT VOUCHERS

Gift vouchers are single use and have an expiry date of 12 months from the date of issue. Gift vouchers are not transferable for cash and once issued cannot be refunded. Gift vouchers may be used towards class fees/holiday workshops or any other goods or services offered by MAKE Art School (subject to availability).

 

DISCOUNT OFFERS

Any discounts offered by Make Art School are subject to availability and may have individual terms and conditions applied.

 

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

Upon payment of our fees, these terms, as amended from time to time, shall represent the entirety of the agreement between you and us, and any changes must be agreed to in writing.
